Mabey Hire becomes the only temporary works specialist with its own site installation team
Construction projects can be complex enough. That’s why some of our customers choose to transfer the risk of installing temporary works solutions to a specialist who can take some of the project complexities away and speed up installation time.
For over 20 years, we’ve been the only temporary works specialist with our own site installation teams. They work nationally – and even internationally – on customer sites to install, maintain and dismantle our solutions, all in line with the requirements of BS5975, the code of practice for temporary works procedures.
Our installation teams work in partnership with our engineers and our customers, spending their days on construction sites (including nuclear and petro-chemical plants), road, rail and utilities sites.
Our team members have an average of 15 years’ experience installing solutions from across our range (with only trench sheets being excluded from the service). They go through extensive and regular training – for example, all our site managers are qualified to NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management and are CPCS trained appointed persons or lift supervisors, and all our steel erectors are qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 in Steel Erection.
Not only do our installation team know our equipment inside out, they know each other like family, meaning they work together efficiently and safely.
Every installation team has a Site Manager, Site Supervisor and three Steel Erectors. Let us introduce you to some of them.
Meet the teamThanks to Mabey Hire I’ve worked on Premier League football stadiums, various London Olympic sites, navy dockyards, major international airports, and many universities.
It takes a long time and a lot of study and experience to become an expert in installing temporary works solutions.
Continuous personal development is in the DNA of our team. To give our customers peace of mind, we publish the qualifications our Steel Erectors, Site Supervisors and Site Managers have.
