Our Flat Jacks (also sometimes referred to as Pancake Jacks) are used for pre-loading steelwork.
Available to hire or purchase, our Flat Jacks can be used for temporary loading where water is used to inflate the jack, or permanent loading where water is used to preload the jack, and then pumped out and filled with grout. This then sets in place to allow for safe construction, once hardened the flat jack cannot be adjusted.
They have a low profile so can be used in the tightest of spaces. So are often used for bearing replacement and lifting and weighing structures with limited access.
Our flat hydraulic jacks are light and easy to use. They can be used during new constructions, by which they might form part of the structural concept in remedial works, or for the structural repair of existing structures. Flat jacks are also commonly used during structural modification works.
The low profile of the flat jacks make them ideal for lifting, lowering, stressing and pre-tensioning in the tightest of spaces. The circular steel thrust plates ensure that pressure and loads are distributed evenly to hold structures securely in place. They can be used as a temporary solution or as part of a permanent design.
All our flat jacks are tested, certified and calibrated by our in-house hydraulics experts before every hire. If required, our hydraulics team will also install and operate the jacks for your project.
Our Flat Jacks are available for sale or hire as part of a design.
