Our MU Towers

Our Mabey Universal Towers are extremely heavy duty. Capable of supporting loads up to 8000kN, it can also be used as a free standing tower.

Perfectly suited to extremely heavy duty propping projects, this system has been used on some of the biggest propping projects in the UK, for example the construction of the Mersey Gateway.

Our MU Tower system is made up of a small number of components, meaning that a large section of the tower can be built extremely quickly. The tower can be erected in situ or as separate sections on the ground and lifted in by crane.

    Gravelly Hill

    Junction 6 of the M6 motorway, commonly known as spaghetti junction, is famous for very heavy traffic. When it was at risk of collapse, we quickly stabilised and propped the motorway section to prevent it, whilst minimising any disruption to the M6.
