We'll be bringing our range of temporary works solutions to Bridges Scotland (co-located with Road Expo Scotland) in November, showcasing our temporary bridging capabilities and how our monitoring solutions can support Transport Scotland in its annual maintenance and bridge inspection programme.
With over 60 years of engineering expertise, we've supported customers in the delivery of thousands of projects across the UK’s road and rail infrastructure with our full-service offering – including the bespoke design, supply, installation and monitoring of temporary works solutions.
On Stand F6, we'll be promoting our comprehensive range of temporary works solutions, including temporary bridging equipment. A cost-effective solution for major road diversions, the rail network or to overcome site access challenges, our portfolio ranges from pre-assembled lift-in BeamBridges to modular panel bridges for more bespoke, engineered designs.
Visitors to the stand will also be able to learn more about our digital engineering expertise and EVE, our intuitive immersive design technology that allows users to explore an interactive temporary works design in its entirety, while helping to minimise error and risk onsite.
As the demand for data-led asset management continues to trend, having insight into the structural condition of Transport Scotland assets can be invaluable, informing preventative and condition-based maintenance schedules. With this in mind, we'll be showcasing our structural and environmental monitoring solutions, able to collect data in real-time and instantly send it through to our unique web portal, Insite.
Speaking about the exhibition, Duncan Bampton, Major Projects Sales Manager – Scotland at Mabey Hire, said: “2024 marks our first year exhibiting at Bridges Scotland and we’re delighted to be attending, opening up the conversation around the value of temporary works. With our road and rail networks at the heart of UK infrastructure, keeping them safe and open is paramount. At the heart of this mission is high-quality data, with asset information both feeding into and informing future maintenance cycles. Here, our monitoring technologies can provide valuable insight, while our portfolio of temporary works solutions can support in the delivery of any required works.
“We’re also proud to be members of the CQIC initiative, committed to eliminating error and improving quality within the construction industry with a ‘right first time’ approach.”
As well as our work within the highways sector, we're also committed to helping combat the skills shortage and inspire the next generation, with our STEM Education Programme delivered in schools across Scotland.
Co-located with Road Expo Scotland and in partnership with Transport Scotland, Bridges Scotland offers visitors the opportunity to discover new technologies that increase safety, ease congestion and improve transport for a better travel experience.
