We're delighted to be exhibiting at Highways UK 2024, showcasing our structural monitoring capabilities, standard solutions and EVE immersive design software.
With over 60 years of engineering expertise, we've supported customers in the delivery of thousands of projects across the UK’s road and rail infrastructure with our full-service offering – including the bespoke design, supply, installation and monitoring of temporary works solutions.
Visitors to our stand (329A) will have the opportunity to learn about our structural and environmental monitoring solutions. Providing contractors and asset owners with up-to-the-minute data about the condition and behaviour of their assets, the data can be used to assist with preventative maintenance, proactive monitoring and improving workforce safety on site. With a full set of solutions for all monitoring situations, including motorway settlement and bridge structural health, the real-time data is made instantly visible in our unique web portal.
We will also be promoting our comprehensive range of temporary works solutions, including our propping and jacking equipment, often used to facilitate bridge deck lifts whilst maintenance to internal, difficult-to-reach parts is carried out. As well as bespoke, large-scale temporary works schemes, we offer our standard solutions, designed to provide contractors with fast, simple access to pre-engineered designs for low-risk groundworks excavations, including manhole braces, trench boxes and shields, and trench crossing units.
In addition, we will be showcasing our digital engineering expertise through EVE, our intuitive immersive design technology that allows users to explore an interactive temporary works design in its entirety.
Speaking about the exhibition, John Wrigley, our Business Development Manager for Highways said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be attending Highways UK, with this year marking our first time at the show - and look forward to discussing the value of temporary works with visitors. Road networks form a key part of our country’s infrastructure, meaning keeping them running is paramount and proactive maintenance is key. At the heart of this mission is high-quality data, with asset information feeding into and informing future maintenance cycles.
“Our monitoring solutions can be used in many ways to provide assurances and enable proactive or preventative maintenance plans to be put in place, while our comprehensive portfolio of temporary works solutions can support in the delivery of any required works. We’re committed to providing the right support at any stage of the project, from pre-tender and design through to installation and emergency responses.”
As members of the Get It Right Initiative (GIRI), we are committed to eliminating error within the construction industry. Working closely with other members to improve productivity, quality, sustainability and safety, we are best placed to address National Highways’ aim of saving 10% through efficiencies and reducing error on site and at the design stage.
Highways UK brings together the people responsible for planning, developing, managing, maintaining and futureproofing the nation’s highway networks, with the 2024 exhibition focused around ‘roads for a connected future’.
