Mabey Hire has announced the launch of its Mass 10 System - a modular, lightweight addition to its range of propping, jacking and formwork products, designed specifically for use in applications where space and access are restricted. With props that weigh less than 16kg per metre, the Mass 10 system offers a lightweight, portable propping solution.
The Mass 10 System features lightweight needle beams, shutter beams, plumbing props, and a large number of accessories, baseplates and fittings that enable the system to be quickly and precisely configured, installed and removed. The Mass 10 System is also fully compatible with Mabey Hire's existing range ofpropping, needling and formworkproducts.
The advantages of a lightweight propping system like Mass 10 go beyond the ability to install it into areas with restricted access. The low weight and compactness of the system also lead to savings in transport and logistics, requiring fewer personnel and vehicles, and less fuel for delivery and removal.
Mabey Hire Contracts Director, Chris Carter, explained the rationale behind the development and launch of the Mass 10 System: "Propping, needling and formwork are widely used techniques in construction and conservation, and the Mass 10 System was developed specifically in response to a demand for a more versatile solution that could be installed and removed by small teams in situations where space or access is difficult."
