We're delighted to announce our eleventh consecutive gold win at the 2023 RoSPA Health & Safety Awards, resulting in winning the celebrated President’s Award.
As one of the most well-respected and prestigious schemes in the world, the RoSPA Health & Safety Awards reflect the ongoing commitments of companies to health and safety in the workplace. Our eleventh consecutive gold, which has resulted in the President’s Award, demonstrates our dedication to upholding the highest possible standards in this field.
To win this award, we had to demonstrate our efficient health and safety management system and policy and provide evidence on how we uphold standards across all UK sites and locations.
With health and safety an important ongoing commitment for us, we've continued to further our efforts to maintain and enhance our policies and procedures. One example of this is the 30-day review of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) risks carried out by our Head of SHE, Head of Quality & Compliance and CEO, who recently visited our depots and offices throughout the UK to identify areas for improvement.
Speaking about the award win, David Adams, CEO said: “Winning an eleventh consecutive gold and the RoSPA President’s Award is something we’re extremely proud of. This award shows how hard everyone at Mabey Hire is working to maintain the health and safety of anyone using our equipment, whether that be our own employees or our customers.
“As a specialist in temporary works, we strive to help our customers deliver their construction and engineering projects safely and efficiently. We are committed to continually improving what we do to make sure our people work in a safe place, whether that’s at a desk in our offices, at one of our 16 depots, out on site or on the road. Everyone home safe, every day – that’s what we aim to achieve.”
The RoSPA Health & Safety Awards are one of the longest running of its kind in the UK, receiving thousands of entries every year from organisations world-wide and across multiple different sectors, including construction, healthcare, transport and education. While the majority of the awards mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels, President’s Awards are presented to organisations who have sustained the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years, showing a clear and continued dedication to health and safety in the workplace.
The prestigious honour will be presented to us at the awards ceremony later this year.
